INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 can of rinsed navy beans
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup Saporito Smoked Olive Wood EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp garlic powder or flakes or 2 fresh cloves, minced
1 tsp paprika (can use smoked paprika)
1/2 to 1 tsp chipotle pepper, optional, for added heat
1/4 cup tahini (not necessary yet makes the hummus creamy)
DIRECTIONS
Place all ingredients in a food processor, blend until smooth and taste. If too thick, add a bit of EVOO. Too bland, add salt, spices or lemon juice to taste. Place in a bowl and refrigerate. Enjoy with some crackers or toasted sourdough bread (we recommend The Vine Sourdough Bakery or Uppercrust Bakery, both in Gainesville, Florida).
